IEEE Student Chapter - SPSU
Welcome to the IEEE Student Chapter Website here at Southern Polytechnic State University. IEEE (pronounced eye-triple-E) stands for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. You may have noticed one of our standards while doing technical research or read an article from one of our many periodicals. We are a world-wide professional organization for engineers and engineering technologists.

Who Should Join
IEEE Student membership is open to undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled in at least 50% of a normal, full-time course of study in electrical, electronics, computer engineering or computer sciences, or in an allied branch of engineering technology or the related arts and sciences.

  IEEE/ECET Spring 2009 COOK OUT

    FREE FOOD!!! The IEEE and ECET students are invited to attend a cookout! The cookout is Thursday, April 02, 2009! There will be a Guest Speaker, David Burns, from CISCO and lots of cool Techy types to talk too. Lunch is served from 12:00 to 2:00 and Dinner from 4:00 to 6:00. Come see us!

    The IEEE-SPSU Student Chapter is competing in the IEEE Southeast Con 2009 Robotics Competition. The Southeast Con is to take place March 5-8 2009, at the Crowne Plaza Rivinia 4355 Ashford Dunwoody Road Atlanta, GA 30346 The IEEE-SPSU members would like to thank the following student members for their hard work and commitment! Michael Glazebrook (Robotics Chair) Zachary Reinhardt Phonexay Keodouangdy Michael Leach Russ Biggers Don Gabler Also, Good Luck to Professor Scott Tippens, IEEE-SPSU Advisor, and his Alternative Energy Tutorial presentation!
